Feet for Life(TM)
Feet for Life(TM) – “Sometimes So Little, Can Mean So Much”
“Feet for Life” is a charitable program that provides donated pedorthic footwear and related products to individuals who have diabetes and have limited income and resources.
“Feet for Life” is part of the Pedorthic Foundation's charitable activities. It is overseen by a separate Operating Board made up of key people from the pedorthic community. The charitable “Feet for Life” program works by having suppliers donate pedorthic footwear and related goods, while credentialed pedorthists donate their services. The credentialed pedorthist advise their diabetic patients who have limited income and resources about the free shoe program and submit the patient's application to the program's processing center. Upon approval the shoes requested by the credentialed pedorthist are shipped to the pedorthist, fitted and dispensed. The applicant pays a $10 processing fee to cover the Foundation's operating costs.
